Flashback: Ryan Reynolds Shares Funny Rejection Letter from Tony Stark in Celebration of Avengers: Infinity War Triumph
Before appearing in the latest MCU movie alongside Wolverine, Deadpool experienced multiple heartbreaks. One of these instances was shared by the actor in 2018, following the success of Avengers: Infinity War.
Ryan Reynolds, known for his humor, congratulated the Avengers crew in a unique and hilarious way. He posted a sweet and intriguing quote along with a picture on X (formerly Twitter).
“From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats #Avengers,” the actor posted. He also attached a picture of a rejection letter from Stark Industries.
It seems Deadpool applied to join the Avengers, but Tony Stark rejected his application. The letter read, “Re: Joining the Avengers, No. Absolutely not. Go bother Prof. X. No. Sincerely, Tony Stark.”
Avengers: Infinity War earned $250 million in its opening weekend across 4,474 theaters in the U.S. and Canada.
Deadpool & Wolverine brought the beloved mutants from Fox’s universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Disney acquired the rights from Fox Studios.
The cast included Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Morena Baccarin, and Emma Corrin.
Notable cameos were made by Channing Tatum as Gambit, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Dafne Keen as X-23, and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm from The Fantastic Four. Aaron Stanford also reprised his role as Pyro in this global hit directed by Shawn Levy.
