FLASHBACK: Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan share a laugh as actress accidentally refers to her as ‘Mrs. Bachchan’ during honeymoon
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are one of Bollywood’s most popular couples, with over 17 years of marriage. During a conversation with Vogue, Aishwarya shared a funny incident from their honeymoon where she realized they were married after being called ‘Mrs. Bachchan’ on a flight.
While on a flight to Bora Bora for their honeymoon, a stewardess welcomed them on board as ‘Mr. and Mrs. Bachchan’, leading to a moment of realization for Aishwarya. She recalled, “Abhishek and I just looked at each other and burst out laughing! And it hit me, I’m married! I’m Mrs. Bachchan!”
In another interview, Abhishek fondly remembered their honeymoon at Disneyland, where Aish was excited to pose with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. He described the fun they had saying, “We can be irresponsible too, we can enjoy each other.”
The couple tied the knot in 2007 and later welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011. They have appeared together in films like Guru, Run, Kuch Naa Kaho, Umrao Jaan, and Raavan.
Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: I while Abhishek has Housefull 5 and King lined up for release. Aishwarya continues to make headlines with her appearances at international events like the Cannes Film Festival.
