3. It’s not widely known that Hart’s mother, Paula Hart, was the driving force behind the Sabrina TV series. After receiving the comic book on a playground, she took it to Viacom, produced the 1996 movie, and persisted in pitching it as a great TV show. Despite initial skepticism from executives, Paula went to the editing room, created a five-minute trailer for the show, and successfully sold it to ABC, securing the TGIF time slot.
Paula served as executive producer for all seven seasons, overseeing aspects like hiring, firing, music, and editing. This allowed Hart to focus on her acting, knowing that her mother had everything under control.
4. In the 1996 TV movie, Charlene Fernetz and Sherry Miller portrayed Sabrina’s aunts Zelda and Hilda. However, for the TV series, they were replaced by Beth Broderick and Caroline Rhea as Zelda and Hilda Spellman.
