Why Rishab Shetty Chose Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Sai Pallavi Over Rashmika Mandanna
Rashmika Mandanna, a prominent actress in the film industry, made her debut in 2016 with the Kannada romantic comedy Kirik Party. The film was directed by the talented Rishab Shetty. However, things took a sour turn between Rashmika and Rishab when the actress faced trolling for not watching Rishab’s film Kantara. In an interview, Rishab Shetty expressed his preference for Sai Pallavi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu over Rashmika Mandanna.
In a Gulte interview, Rishab Shetty was asked which actress he would like to work with in his next film among Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rashmika Mandanna, Keerthy Suresh, and Sai Pallavi. He chose Sai Pallavi and Samantha, stating that he liked their work and considered them to be true artists. Rashmika later confirmed watching Kantara and congratulated the team, but Rishab’s response indicated his displeasure.
This was not the first instance of tension between Rishab and Rashmika. The actress also faced backlash for her remarks about her debut in the industry, particularly mentioning the production company without naming it, which was Paramvah Studios founded by Rakshit Shetty, a close associate of Rishab Shetty.
Overall, the relationship between Rashmika Mandanna and Rishab Shetty seems strained, with past incidents indicating a potential ‘cold war’ between the two.
