Several other famous parents reassure Jay-Z that this is exactly what will happen in a few years. Until then, the plan is to shower the kids with love and support so that a few challenging years of teenage behavior won’t affect the overall family dynamic.
“Feeling loved is the most important thing a child needs,” Jay-Z shared with the U.K.’s Times in 2021. “Not ‘here’s this business that I’m going to hand over to you, that I’m creating for you.'”
Despite having numerous investments, Jay-Z and Beyoncé don’t pressure their children to follow in their footsteps. The Carters want to provide a loving environment and support their children’s individual paths.
Their main goal is to guide their children and be attentive to who they want to be. Jay-Z explained, “It’s easy for us, as human beings, to want our children to do certain things, but we have no idea. We’re just guides.”
