Speculation has sparked interest in social media accounts possibly belonging to the real-life Martha, and theories abound about who Darrien might be.
The speculation became so intense that on April 22, Gadd took to his Instagram Story to address it, stating, “Hi Everyone, People I love, have worked with, and admire (including Sean Foley) are unfairly getting caught up in speculation. Please don’t speculate on who any of the real-life people could be.”
Foley, an actor, director, and Olivier-winning writer, shared Gadd’s message on X and added, “Police have been informed and are investigating all defamatory, abusive, and threatening posts against me.”
