The Couple Spotlighted in Ashley Madison Documentary Series
Wait, there’s more?
But as Sam disclosed in the docuseries, the video was deemed as “phony”.
“Most of what I said in the video was untrue,” he confessed. “It was a plea for self-protection.”
Nia remembered stumbling upon a message in their family group chat from Sam’s brother advising him to be truthful. Despite Sam’s denial of any further secrets, he acknowledged the reality.
“I had been concealing a multitude of things from Nia,” he acknowledged in the series, “and these hidden truths went beyond just Ashley Madison and extended further back in time.”
Consequently, he reached out to his pastor who urged him to come clean. Sam came clean about his visits to massage parlors, strip clubs, and what Nia described as “years of infidelity that he had enacted in our marriage.”
“I was engaging in inappropriate relationships with acquaintances,” he admitted. “I fostered two emotional connections that amounted to infidelity towards my wife.”
Moreover, Sam confessed to making advances towards some of Nia’s friends who did not reciprocate, leaving Nia “stunned” by the deceit.
“It felt like my world was collapsing,” she revealed. “Everything I had known up until that point seemed like a facade.”
