Glen Powell Surprises with a Cameo on Today Show’s Weather Report as Cold Front Approaches
Actor Glen Powell, known for his role in Twisters, recently showcased his comedic side by giving a humorous weather report to fans. During an appearance on the Today Show in New York City to promote his latest disaster film, Powell joined host Dylan Dreyer to deliver a unique weather forecast.

During the segment, Dreyer asked Powell if his experience as a pilot in Top Gun prepared him to be a meteorologist for Twisters. Powell jokingly responded, “We’ll see if my knowledge holds up here.” As they spotted some raindrops on the radar, Powell predicted incoming rain. Dreyer then quipped about the possibility of twisters heading their way.
The banter between the two was a nod to Twisters, a new film starring Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate and Powell as storm chaser Tyler Owens. The plot revolves around their encounters while chasing storms and collaborating with other teams to combat dangerous twisters.

Powell continued to play up his role, mentioning the movie’s theme as they checked the weather radar. Dreyer guided him through the forecast, noting the mild weather in Arkansas and the upcoming cold front in New York. Dreyer complimented Powell on his newfound meteorological knowledge.
Twisters, featuring an ensemble cast including Kieran Shipka and Anthony Ramos, is one of this year’s highly anticipated films. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung and written by Mark L. Smith, the movie promises thrilling storm-chasing adventures.
