E! to Host the 2025 Critics Choice Awards: Here’s What You Need to Know
The Critics Choice Awards are gearing up to celebrate a milestone year with E! hosting the event.
The annual award show, which honors movies and shows selected by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association, will air its 30th ceremony on E! Sunday, Jan. 12, live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Comedian Chelsea Handler will be returning as the host for the third consecutive year.
“I am thrilled to be hosting the Critics Choice Awards for the third year in a row, especially now that it will be broadcast on E!,” Chelsea mentioned in a statement. “It feels like a homecoming for me.”
The nominees for this year’s ceremony will be revealed on Dec. 5 and Dec. 12, promising an event filled with star-studded appearances.
The 2024 ceremony saw Oppenheimer leading with eight wins, including awards for director Christopher Nolan and supporting actor Robert Downey Jr. Barbie followed with six wins, while TV shows like The Bear, Succession, and Beef also emerged victorious.
E! will kickstart the 2025 celebrations with a one-hour red carpet pre-show before the main event begins.
