– Thamba: Nawazuddin Siddiqui joins Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in vampire film
After the tremendous success of Stree 2, Amar Kaushik has confirmed that he will be producing Dinesh Vijan’s Thamba, which is a part of his horror comedy universe. Reports indicate that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be the lead actors, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the negative character in the film.
An insider revealed to Mid-Day that Thamba will be set in two different time periods – one in a North Indian city in the present day, and the other in the Vijayanagara Empire of ancient times. Siddiqui’s character is described as an eccentric yet violent character who lived centuries ago and seeks revenge and control over the destinies of the two main characters in the present.
The source also shared that Dinesh Vijan is reuniting with his Munjya director, Aditya Satpodar. A look test with Nawazuddin Siddiqui is scheduled after Diwali, following similar tests with the other actors. The movie is set to start filming in November-end or early December, with initial night shoots in Mumbai before moving to Delhi and South India for further schedules.
Initially known as Vampires of Vijay Nagar, the film will feature Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in their first collaboration. Fans can expect more updates on Thamba from Pinkvilla!
