Telangana minister Konda Surekha addresses the backlash from her comments on Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce
Telangana minister Konda Surekha has retracted her recent controversial remarks regarding Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. Previously, the politician had claimed that Bharat Raksha Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao was the reason behind the couple’s divorce. However, following criticism from fans and celebrities, she has now withdrawn her statement.
Konda Surekha took to her social media handle and wrote in Telugu, which when translated loosely, stated, “My remarks were meant to question a leader’s disrespect towards women and were not intended to hurt your sentiments, Samantha Prabhu. The way you have empowered yourself is not just impressive to me, but also serves as an ideal.”
In the same thread, the politician added, “If you or your fans feel offended by my comments, I wholeheartedly retract them. Please do not perceive otherwise.”
