Taylor Swift-inspired market with chance to win concert tickets set to arrive in Fort Langley
An upcoming artisan market inspired by pop star Taylor Swift is set to take place in Fort Langley on Saturday, March 9.
Although the “Swiftie Market” is not officially endorsed by the singer herself, attendees can expect album-themed cocktails, swag bags for the first 100 guests, face painting, trivia, games, cover bands, and a chance to win a $1,300 concert ticket to Taylor Swift’s December 6 show.
Notably, Swift impersonator and drag queen Carrie Dawn will be in attendance at the event.
Other activities at the market include a friendship bracelet making station and a photo booth for guests to enjoy.
The event is organized by Gourmet Groceries, a company known for hosting artisan markets throughout the Lower Mainland.
Event planner Anna Chen shared that the idea for this market stemmed from the limited number of Taylor Swift concerts in Vancouver, as compared to other cities like Toronto.
Chen expressed, “There’s literally not enough of her to go around, and fans deserve a chance to experience what they can. And those attending the concert can find everything they need at the market, as well as connect with other Swifties on a larger scale.”
This is not Chen’s first market event, as she has previously organized an Australian Cultural Festival with Langley’s Festina Lente Estate Winery & Meadery, among others.
The ticket draw for the concert ticket will be free to enter, and there will be multiple opportunities throughout the day for guests to participate.
Guests must follow @GourmetMarkets on Instagram for their entries to be valid. The market offers three tiers of tickets: free, VIP 1 for $19.89, and VIP 2 for $31.13, each offering various perks including priority entry.
The Swiftie Market is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 9 at the Fort Langley Golf Course located at 9782 McKinnon Cr. Tickets for the event can be purchased through allevents.in.
