Taylor Swift makes a $100,000 donation to the family of the woman killed in Kansas City parade shooting
Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 to a GoFundMe page set up in honor of Lisa Lopez Galvan, raising the total to over $178,000. She left two words of support messages on the page and is confirmed to have made the donation. Lisa was described as an amazing woman, great mother, great sister, and great friend by her brother, Lee’s Summit Mayor Pro Tem Beto Lopez. She leaves behind a husband and two children. Three other family members were injured in the shooting. Taylor Swift previously made a charitable donation in 2018 to March for Our Lives, showing support for gun reform.
Lopez-Galvan, a beloved DJ, was killed at a Super Bowl victory parade for the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift made two $50,000 donations to the GoFundMe page for Lopez-Galvan’s family. She also wrote messages of sympathy and support. The total donated amount is now over $182,000. Swift is currently in Melbourne, Australia, on her “Eras Tour,” while Kelce expressed his heartbreak over the tragedy.
