This Week, Taylor Swift Holds the Top Three Bestselling Albums in America
Taylor Swift can regularly be found toward the top of Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. The singer is used to ruling over the ranking of the bestselling albums in the U.S., but her performance this week is especially laudable.
This time around, Swift claims the No. 1 bestselling album in the country, but not with anything new. It’s impressive that she’s back in charge of the Top Album Sales chart, but that’s only the beginning of the story of her success. The superstar actually claims the three loftiest rungs on the tally, beating every other musician for the highest trio of spaces.
Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on top of the Top Album Sales chart again this week. The re-recording bolts to No. 1 from No. 3, where it sat last time around. The title has now racked up seven turns in first place–about half of its entire tenure on the ranking.
As 1989 (Taylor’s Version) surges back to No. 1, two other projects from Swift also rise to dominate the upper reaches of the Top Album Sales chart. Midnights lifts from No. 8 to the runner-up rung. Lover also gains ground, improving from No. 4 to No. 3.
Further down on the Top Album Sales chart, Swift earns another spot inside the top 10. Her 2020 release Folklore finds its way back into the highest tier on the tally. This week, the folksy recording jumps from No. 15 to No. 10. All four titles inside the top 10 have reached the peak spot in the past.
According to Luminate, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) sold another 11,700 copies in the past tracking period. Midnights accrued another 10,841 copies sold, while Lover sold just two fewer copies. Folklore managed to sell 5,626 copies last frame.
Looking at the full Top Album Sales chart, Swift’s name can be found all over the highest half of the list. The singer claims another four spots on the 50-rung tally underneath the top 10. Two of those winners, Evermore and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), appear just below the top 10, at Nos. 11 and 12, respectively. At the same time, Red (Taylor’s Version) lifts to No. 20, while Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is up to No. 24.
