Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, known for their chart-topping albums and songs, have also dipped their toes into the movie industry. While recently offered roles in a new feature together, this dream pairing didn’t come to be, but the idea is exciting.
Amazon Prime released a new title, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, providing an inside look at the making of the movie This Is Me … Now: A Love Story. This film, a musical centered around Jennifer Lopez’s album This Is Me… Now, is the focal point of the documentary.
The documentary reveals that among the stars who accepted roles in This Is Me … Now: A Love Story, both Swift and Grande were also offered parts but declined.
Swift, amidst re-recording her first six albums and working on new music like Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, has been busy with her The Eras Tour. Similarly, Grande, filming two movies including the Wicked adaptations, also released hit songs like “Die For You” with The Weeknd.
Besides Swift and Grande, other celebrities like Lizzo, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, and Snoop Dogg were approached for roles in This Is Me … Now: A Love Story but had to decline for various reasons, as noted on Entertainment Weekly.
