Taylor Swift Reveals Emotional Connection to Singapore
Taylor Swift reminisced about her childhood memories in Singapore during the first show of her Eras Tour in the country.
In a video created by a fan, the internationally renowned musician shared that her mother Andrea spent her formative years in Singapore with her grandparents during the concert on Saturday.
Swift mentioned, “So a lot of the time when we’d come here on tour, my mom would take me and drive me past her old house, where she used to go to school. So I’ve been hearing about Singapore my whole life.”
The singer added, “To get to come here and perform in front of such a large audience with so many beautiful, generous people who are essentially honoring my family with what you just did with that song, it means the world.”
In conclusion of her heartfelt words, the Lover artist expressed her love for her fans, saying, “We’re going to have a blast tonight.”
For those who are unaware, Swift is set to perform six shows in Singapore as part of her global Eras Tour.
The Bad Blood singer is expected to continue her tour in Paris, France in May.
