Tamera Mowry Opens Up About Imperfect Marriage
Tamera Mowry-Housley is staying true to herself.
The Sister, Sister alum has been with husband Adam Housley for more than ten years, gaining valuable insights into the challenges and joys of marriage.
“Thirteen years, I can’t believe it,” she shared with E! News at the Alliance for Women in Media’s Gracie Awards on May 21. “Time has flown by. I always acknowledge that there will be ups and downs. Our marriage isn’t flawless, but I still admire him. I appreciate who he is as a person, and we’re growing together rather than apart.” (Watch E! News for more from the Gracies tonight, May 22 at 11 p.m.)
Over their almost two decades together, Tamera has gained valuable lessons she wants to pass on. “Every now and then, ask your partner, ‘Are you happy?’ and ‘What can we do to ensure our happiness together?’ because my goal isn’t just to have a long marriage, but to have a happy long marriage.”
Above all, the 45-year-old – who has a son, Aden, 11, and daughter, Ariah, 8, with Adam – knows that marriage involves compromise.
