Sydney Sweeney Undergoes Dramatic Transformation for New Role
Sydney Sweeney is stepping into a dramatic new look.
The Euphoria star unveiled a surprising transformation on Oct. 11 when she appeared in character as boxer Christy Martin for an upcoming biopic, looking almost unrecognizable.
In images from the filming in North Carolina, Sydney traded her iconic blonde hair for a short brunette hairstyle secured with a navy bandana. She was also seen wearing a loose zip-up sweatshirt in navy, paired with a yellow-brown T-shirt, dark sweatpants, and white sneakers. In another scene, the 27-year-old rocked oversized knee-length gray sweat shorts and a light blue tee.
In the upcoming project helmed by David Michôd, Sydney will appear alongside Ben Foster, Merritt Wever and Katy O’Brian as she takes on the role of the boxing Hall of Famer who married her former boxing coach James Martin.
Playing a real-life athlete will present a new challenge for Sydney, one that she embraces as both an actress and producer.
