Swimmer Luana Alonso Denies Claim of Being Removed from Olympic Village
Swimmer Luana Alonso has been reportedly kicked out of the Olympic Village for alleged inappropriate behavior during the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Luana Alonso is refuting these rumors.
She took to her Instagram Story on August 5 to address the reports, stating, “I just wanted to clarify that I was never removed or expelled from anywhere, stop spreading false information. I don’t want to give any statement, but neither am I going to let lies affect me.”
Luana’s statement comes after it was reported that she was asked to leave the Olympic Village by Paraguay’s Olympic Committee.
According to Larissa Schaerer, the head of the Committee, Luana’s presence was deemed to be creating an inappropriate atmosphere within the Team Paraguay delegation. Schaerer expressed gratitude for Luana’s cooperation in leaving the Athletes’ Village voluntarily as instructed.
