Sudheer Babu expresses regret for casting YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu in Harom Hara, admits to feeling disgusted
Actor Sudheer Babu, who recently appeared in Harom Hara, has issued a public apology for casting YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu in the film. This follows backlash over Hanumanthu’s offensive comments in a YouTube video.
Sudheer Babu apologizes for casting Praneeth Hanumantu in ‘Harom Hara’
Sudheer Babu took to his official X account to express regret for casting YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu in his film, Harom Hara.
He stated, “I am not very active on social media and was unaware. I deeply regret having #PraneethHanumanthu in #HaromHara. My sincere apologies on behalf of myself and the team. We were unaware of his true nature (sic).”
Additionally, the Mama Mascheendra actor emphasized that individuals like Hanumanthu should not be given a platform to spread negativity.
Sudheer Babu added, “We must ensure that such toxic individuals do not have a platform to spread their negativity. This is not freedom of speech in any way (sic).”

In another post, the Valimai actor defended himself after receiving criticism for giving an interview to Hanumantu in the past.
He apologized, stating, “I had to do the interview as part of my responsibilities as an actor promoting my film. I did not intend to endorse such content, but unfortunately, I was associated with it. I apologize for that, and moving forward, I will be more cautious about who I give interviews to, and let’s collectively avoid promoting such content.”
The Telangana State Cybersecurity Bureau has filed a complaint against the YouTuber. Telangana’s Director General of Police, Ravi Gupta, has assured that strict action will be taken against him.
For those unfamiliar, Praneeth is a YouTuber known for his controversial remarks. He faced backlash for his inappropriate comments about a girl child. After the criticism, Praneeth apologized and edited the video to remove the offensive content.
