Student Who Went Missing Found Dead After 2 Weeks
The search for University of Missouri student Riley Strain has come to a tragic end.
Police announced that the 22-year-old’s remains were found on March 22 in a river in Nashville, two weeks after he disappeared following an incident at country star Luke Bryan‘s bar while out with friends.
“The body of Riley Strain was recovered from the Cumberland River in West Nashville this morning, approximately 8 miles from downtown,” a post on the Metro Nashville Police Department’s X page stated. “No foul play-related trauma was observed. An autopsy is pending.”
According to WKRN-TV, one of Strain’s friends reported him missing on March 9. He was last seen publicly the day before, with his Delta Chi fraternity brothers in Nashville. While at Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink, Strain was asked to leave the venue and was escorted out.
