Stree 2 Box Office Collections: Emerges as Second Highest Grossing Film of All Time in Fourth Weekend, Surpassing Pathaan & Gadar 2.
The box office success of Stree, led by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, continues to make headlines in India. The horror comedy, directed by Amar Kaushik, has collected an estimated Rs 22.50 crore in its fourth weekend, bringing its total collections to Rs 523.50 crore. This puts the film in the second spot for highest-grossing Hindi cinema, exceeding the lifetime collections of Pathaan (Rs 513 crore) and Gadar 2 (Rs 515 crore).
Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is now aiming to surpass the lifetime collections of Jawan to become the top Hindi film of all time. Jawan had collected Rs 555.50 crore at the box office, and with another 3-week run, Stree has a chance to achieve that milestone. The film is considered an all-time blockbuster, possibly the biggest in terms of ROI in the last decade.
The performance of Stree during the weekdays will indicate whether it can reach the Rs 555 crore mark, making it a thrilling race to the finish line. National Cinema Day on 20th September could be the day when Stree creates history by becoming the highest-grossing film in Hindi. Every day and every crore will be crucial from now on as the film competes to make history.
The Rs 500 crore club and the lifetime numbers of Bahubali 2 seemed like a distant dream in the post-pandemic world, but the landscape has changed significantly in the past year and a half. Following Pathaan’s lead in January 2023, other films like Gadar 2, Jawan, and Animal also crossed the Rs 500 crore mark.
Stree has achieved the biggest fourth Sunday collection of all time and is the first Hindi film to reach double digits on a fourth Sunday. Additionally, it is on track to have one of the biggest fourth weekends, although the exact numbers are yet to be confirmed.
