Stree 2 Advance Booking Update: Independence Day release of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s movie sells 2.7 lakh tickets, on track for a massive opening.
Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead, has created a buzz in advance ticket sales. The horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik is all set for a massive opening at the box office, thanks to the overwhelming response in pre-sales. As of August 13, Stree 2 has sold 2.1 lakh tickets in the top three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – just for the opening day. The producers have also arranged paid previews a day before the release, selling an additional 58,000 to 60,000 tickets.

The highly anticipated horror-comedy drama is on the verge of release. The movie has already sold 2.7 lakh tickets in the top multiplex chains, including the paid previews on August 14. Continuing its impressive streak, Stree 2 is aiming for a final advance booking of 3.5 to 4 lakh tickets in PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.
The production venture by Maddock Films is eyeing a massive opening of Rs 40 crore, including the paid previews. The numbers could even surpass this figure if there is a surge in on-the-spot bookings at the ticket counter.

Stree 2 shows potential of being one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2024
Stree 2 is positioning itself as a standout release in a crowded market, aiming to become one of the biggest Hindi films of 2024. Currently, Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD hold the top spots in the Hindi market. If the horror-comedy continues to impress audiences and generates positive word of mouth, it could potentially cross the Rs 300 crore mark as well.
On the opening day, Stree 2 may face challenges with screen capacity. Other Independence Day releases like Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein are expected to occupy a significant portion of screens in the North, while films like Mr. Bachchan, Thangalaan, and Double Ismart will dominate the South circuits. However, the situation is likely to improve as days pass.
