Get ready to be turned upside down by the first look at Stranger Things Season 5
The Duffer Brothers have outlined most of season five, which will be the final season, but there is uncertainty around when filming will commence.
“This last season took a total of two years, so it’s hard to say how long season five will take,” Sadie Sink shared with Deadline. “The Duffers understand that fans are eagerly awaiting the fifth season, but I believe they will not rush it. They want to deliver the best final season possible.”
While they may not rush the production, it appears they are reducing the number of scenes in the final season. The Duffer Brothers have assured that the upcoming episodes will be slightly shorter, but they expect the finale to be another feature-length episode.
“The reason we anticipate the season to be shorter is that this season serves as almost a two-hour setup before our kids dive into a supernatural mystery,” explained Matt Duffer on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “You get to know them, see them in their daily lives, witness their struggles in high school, and Steve trying to find a date, all of which will not be present in season 5.”
