Spirit Halloween Fires Back at “Unimportant” SNL for Sketch
Spirit Halloween had some chilling words for Saturday Night Live.
Following the parody of the Halloween retail giant by the long-running sketch comedy series during its season 50 premiere on Sept. 28, Spirit Halloween didn’t stay silent. In response to SNL‘s post of the sketch on X (formerly known as Twitter), Spirit Halloween’s account replied, “We are experts at bringing things back from the dead @nbcsnl.”
The costume packaging, designed to look like a knock-off version of a popular character, featured the description “Irrelevant 50-year-old TV show.”
On the packaging, it listed the contents as “Outdated references, Unknown cast members, declining ratings.” The official SNL 50th season logo was placed where a picture of the costume would normally be.
