Sonu Nigam denies posting viral Ayodhya tweet; states he avoids making sensational political remarks
A tweet from Sonu Nigam Singh, a criminal lawyer based in Bihar, has been circulating on social media recently. He discussed the Lok Sabha election results in Ayodhya. However, many people mistakenly thought it was the Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam who tweeted it due to the similar name.
Sonu Nigam, the singer, clarified that he left the X app (formerly known as Twitter) 7 years ago and did not post the tweet. He expressed his concern about the incident and stated that he focuses on his work rather than making political remarks.
Sonu Nigam clarifies Ayodhya tweet was not done by him
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Sonu Nigam mentioned that such confusion led him to quit Twitter years ago. He emphasized that he does not engage in political controversies and is solely dedicated to his music career.
He also highlighted the alarming nature of the situation and the impact it has on his family and safety. Sonu revealed that his team contacted the user responsible for the misleading tweets and urged them to rectify the situation.
