Korra Obidi from So You Think You Can Dance attacked with acid
Former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Korra Obidi is currently recovering from a violent attack that took place in London.
“There was a knife,” the Nigerian dancer, who participated in the FOX competition series in 2019, revealed in a video shared on April 11 on Instagram, “acid attack on me in the UK in the middle of a live stream.”
In the video, the 32-year-old was shown receiving treatment from first responders with a yellow knife lying nearby on the ground. “Guys I’m in the hospital,” she commented. “Safety while traveling is now a necessity, not a luxury. The acid was salicylic and I was fortunate. Love you guys.”
A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police informed E! News that officers were called to central London that day following reports of an assault.
“Officers arrived and discovered a woman in her 30s with a hand injury and stating that a liquid had been thrown at her face,” the spokesperson stated. “She was taken to the hospital for medical care. The substance was later confirmed to be a non-harmful cosmetic product.”
