Snoop Dogg is captivating a new audience with his child-friendly songs. In 2022, the 53-year-old artist released an album called Kids Hits along with Doggyland. One of the most popular tracks from the album, “Affirmation Song,” has even become a favorite of his fellow coach from The Voice, Michael Bublé.
Bublé’s 6-year-old daughter, Vida, listens to this music in her Kindergarten class.
“This almost made me cry,” Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show‘s episode on Oct. 22, “because I created these songs for my grandkids and kids worldwide to have a piece of me that is appropriate for all ages.”
The singer of “Haven’t Met You Yet” has four children, including Vida, Noah (11), Elias (8), and Cielo (2), whom he shares with his wife, Luisana Lopilato. However, it is Vida who has a special bond with Uncle Snoop.
“Michael Bublé visited the set and told me, ‘My daughter adores your music, and they listen to it every day,'” Snoop, who is also a grandfather of seven, reminisced. “I didn’t believe him at first! We even sang together, and it warmed my heart. It’s amazing how my music is resonating with children for all the right reasons.”
