Bowen Yang from SNL Reveals Host’s Rude Behavior Resulted in Multiple Tears from Cast Members
Live from New York, it’s… a total jerk.
Saturday Night Live is known for featuring A-list stars as hosts. However, cast member Bowen Yang revealed that not all guest stars have been pleasant to work with. He shared an incident where a past host made several cast members cry during the preparations for the live show.
Speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Aug. 11, Yang chose not to name the host but described how they criticized the cast’s ideas, leading to emotional breakdowns.
Reflecting on the experience, Yang, who joined the cast in 2018, simply called it “Terrible.”
The iconic show will kickoff its 50th season on Sept. 28, with speculation swirling about potential celebrity guests. Olympic athlete Ilona Maher humorously expressed interest in hosting SNL during a visit to 30 Rock for Late Night With Seth Meyers on Aug. 12. Maher, a bronze medal-winning rugby player, joked on Instagram about sneaking her way into hosting the show at NBC.
