Pro-Wrestler Sid ‘Vicious’ Eudy Passes Away at 63 Following Cancer Fight
The wrestling community is mourning the loss of one of its legends.
Sidney “Sid Vicious” Raymond Eudy, a legendary professional wrestler known for his intense stare, has passed away after a long battle with cancer, as confirmed by his son Gunnar Eudy on social media. He was 63.
“He embodied strength, kindness, and love, and his absence will be deeply felt,” Gunnar wrote about his father in an Aug. 26 Facebook post. “We are grateful for your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this loss. Details regarding a memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your support.”
Sid burst onto the pro-wrestling scene in 1989 when he signed with World Champion Wrestling (WCW). In 1991, he made his debut with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the moniker “Sid Justice” and, towering at 6 feet 9 inches, he was recognized, according to a statement from the WWE, as one of the most “intimidating and menacing competitors of his era.”
Throughout his wrestling career, Sid faced off against other legends like Mark “The Undertaker” Calaway and The Four Horsemen group, under the leadership of Ric Flair.
