Tumbbad actor Sohum Shah calls Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan his three mentors; praises them as ‘Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh’
Director Sohum Shah, best known for his work on Tumbbad, has a profound admiration for Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. In an interview with PTI, Shah expressed that he sees the trio as the “last of the superstars” and considers them his gurus, likening them to Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh from Hindu mythology.
Shah shared that his entry into the industry was inspired by Shah Rukh Khan, whom he greatly admires. While acknowledging his own unique journey, Shah emphasized that there can only be one Shah Rukh Khan, as he is truly one of a kind. He humorously mentioned the pressure Khan faces, even just stepping out of his residence to greet his fans.
Describing them as his mentors, Shah credited Shah Rukh Khan for charm, Salman Khan for influencing his fashion choices, and Aamir Khan for his dedication to his projects, particularly highlighting Khan’s commitment to each film he works on.
Shah also acknowledged the influence of Aamir Khan’s ex-wife, Kiran Rao, on his work ethic, particularly in relation to his debut production, Ship of Theseus. He expressed his belief in Aamir Khan’s philosophy that focusing on doing a good job will ultimately lead to success.
