Gurdas Maan praises Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘good manners’, reminisces about working together in Veer Zaara: ‘He lifted me up with a hug’
‘King of Romance’ Shah Rukh Khan is well-known for his humble nature, witty humor, and articulated thoughts in the Hindi film industry. Several B-Town celebrities, including actor Riteish Deshmukh, casting director Mukesh Chhabra, and actor Raghav Juyal, have praised SRK for his gesture of seeing off his guests until they board their cars. Popular Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan recently commended Shah Rukh’s good manners and recalled a moment when the superstar hugged him during the filming of Veer Zaara.
During a recent interview with TV9 Digital, Gurdas Maan fondly remembered working with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Yash Chopra’s 2004 film, Veer Zaara. Maan showered praise on SRK for his respectful demeanor towards him.
“I loved the way he hugged me. The way he showed his love and hospitality towards me was commendable. He took me to his car and organized everything for me before dropping me off at my car,” Maan said.
Gurdas Maan further emphasized that Shah Rukh’s respect and manners are what make him a true artist. Maan’s collaboration with Shah Rukh on the song ‘Aisa Des Hai Mera’ and ‘Lodi’ showcases their shared musical talent.
Gurdas Maan is considered one of the most influential Punjabi singers of all time. In 2015, Maan collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh for the song ‘Ki Banu Dunia Da’ for MTV Coke Studio India.
Returning to Veer Zaara, the 2004 film was re-released in theaters on September 13, 2024. The romantic drama starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji and tells the story of two lovers from India and Pakistan who reunite after decades. The film also featured Manoj Bajpayee, Hema Malini, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
