Selling Sunset’s Mary Bonnet Gives Update on Her Fertility Journey

Mary Bonnet from Selling Sunset shares an update on her fertility journey

As Mary and Romain look ahead to their future, they find comfort in the love and support of Austin—the 27-year-old son she had with an ex-boyfriend at the age of 15—and their cherished dogs.

“We may not have children yet, but we have our fur baby, Thor. Romaine is absolutely smitten with him,” shared the real estate agent, who bid farewell to dog Niko in the latest season of Selling Sunset and co-parents dog Zelda with ex-partner Jason Oppenheim. “So even if parenthood doesn’t happen for us, he assures me that he’s content with his little fur baby, whom he adores. We’ll be alright. Whatever is meant to be, will be.”

In between filming seasons five and six of Selling Sunset in 2022, Mary decided to undergo embryo freezing.

“We began with 15 eggs, a substantial number, and 10 of them were deemed suitable,” she recounted in Selling Sunshine. “Out of those 10, seven were mature enough for fertilization, and only three of those seven successfully underwent fertilization. These three embryos were then sent for genetic testing. Sadly, a few days later, we received the disappointing news that all three embryos were abnormal. The doctor advised me to take some time to let my body recover, and if we chose to, we could repeat the process in the future.”
