First Glimpse of Wizards Sequel Starring Selena Gomez & David Henrie
Disney has given the green light to a sequel series for ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ featuring Selena Gomez. The on-screen siblings, Selena Gomez and David Henrie, are set to reunite in the upcoming sequel titled ‘Wizards’.
In an Instagram post on March 22, Selena expressed her excitement about the reunion, stating, “WE ARE BACK!! SOOOO GRATEFUL. MAGIC.” She also shared the news on her Instagram Stories, announcing, “Guess what?! WE GOT PICKED UP FOR SEASON 1!”
Selena and David revealed in January that a sequel was in development, with both of them serving as executive producers. Selena will make guest appearances while David will be a series regular.
The original ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, which aired from 2007 to 2012, followed the Russo family of wizards trying to live normally in New York City. The sequel will continue the story with Justin Russo (David) attempting to live a normal life until his sister Alex (Selena) introduces a new wizard named Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), prompting Justin to mentor the young wizard.
