Custom Diamond Ring Revealed
Matty Healy‘s heart is beating strongly. After nine months of being in a relationship, The 1975 frontman is now engaged to Gabriella “Gabbriette” Bechtel. The announcement was made by the model on June 11 at Charli XCX‘s concert in Brooklyn.
Gabbriette shared a photo of her hand with a custom black diamond ring, with small diamonds around the stone and band. She also made a playful reference to Charli’s new album in her Instagram Stories, which was reposted by Matty. She wrote, “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT.”
It’s not surprising that the Nasty Cherry member showed off her ring at the concert, as her bandmate had recently gotten engaged to George Daniel, the drummer of The 1975. Gabbriette also shared a mirror selfie pointing her ring finger up to display the jewelry.
Matty’s mom, Denise Welch, confirmed the news and expressed her excitement for the couple’s latest milestone.
