The official trailer for Wicked released on May 15, offering fans the first full look at the duo as Elphaba and Glinda, along with glimpses of iconic tracks like “Popular” and “Defying Gravity.”
The trailer reveals Elphaba arriving at Shiz University in the magical world of Oz, welcomed by her extravagant roommate Glinda—who poses the question, “Are people born wicked, or do they have wickedness thrust upon them?”
This question lies at the core of the Wizard of Oz prequel, based on the Broadway show adapted from Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel of the same title, exploring the unlikely friendship between Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.
