Diddy Charged With Sex Trafficking & Racketeering
Following Combs’ arrest based on a sealed indictment, the indictment was later unsealed on Sept. 17.
Court documents obtained by NBC News revealed that the 54-year-old was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, as well as transportation to engage in prostitution.
The indictment claimed that Combs had been coercing women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his behavior for over a decade, starting around 2008.
The documents alleged that Combs relied on his business empire to create a criminal enterprise involving crimes such as sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
According to NBC News, Combs pleaded not guilty and was denied bail.
His attorney Marc Agnifilo stated outside the courthouse before the arraignment that Combs is determined to fight the charges with the full confidence of his legal team.
