Scott Peterson Confesses to “Terrible” Affair Prior to Laci Peterson’s Murder
Scott Peterson is discussing his actions leading up to Laci Peterson‘s tragic death.
In his first on-camera interview since his arrest 21 years ago for the alleged murder of his pregnant wife and unborn son Conner, Scott is once again asserting his innocence in her disappearance and death in Peacock’s upcoming three-part documentary Face to Face with Scott Peterson.
During his trial, prosecutors claimed Scott, who according to People, had engaged in an extramarital affair with Amber Frey prior to the murders, did not want to be a father and therefore committed the murders to avoid child and spousal support.
Now, in the documentary, Scott disputes this accusation. “That is so offensive and so disgusting,” he expresses, as reported by People. “I certainly regret cheating on Laci, absolutely. It was due to a childish lack of self-esteem, selfishly seeking companionship somewhere else, feeling lonely that night because I wasn’t at home. Someone made you feel good because they wanted to have sex with you.”
He also acknowledged his infidelity, stating, “It’s terrible. I was completely wrong to be unfaithful outside of our marriage.”
