Savannah Chrisley Breaks her Silence Following Julie Chrisley’s Sentence Being Confirmed
However, it was when the case was then handed to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia that the judge decided on Sept. 25 not to adjust Julie’s sentencing according to the new ruling.
After the decision, the family’s attorney Alex Little also addressed what he sees as a blending of Todd and Julie’s responsibility.
“I believe that anyone who watched the trial for three weeks recognizes that there were two people involved,” he stated during the press conference. “And I believe you cannot argue that she was the mastermind or significantly involved. Sometimes in cases where a husband and wife are prosecuted, their individual roles can be overlooked. It’s crucial to ensure that this doesn’t happen.”
He further explained, “I think that may have occurred here to some extent, where they were treated as a unit, and the couple received punishment. I do not believe that Julie received a fair individual sentence today.”
