“Therefore, my medical team recommended that I undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am currently in the early stages of that treatment,” she added. “This news was quite the shock, and William and I have been handling it privately to protect our young family.”
Following Kate’s announcement, she received an overwhelming amount of support from celebrities, friends, and members of the royal family, including King Charles III, who had his own cancer diagnosis earlier in February.
In a statement on March 22, a spokesperson from Buckingham Palace mentioned that His Majesty is “extremely proud of Catherine for her bravery in speaking out.”
