Sabrina Carpenter Sets the Record Straight: No Permission Needed from Taylor Swift to Collaborate with Kim Kardashian
Sabrina Carpenter has built a strong friendship with Taylor Swift over the years. However, her relationship with Kim Kardashian is not the same. In an interview with Variety, Sabrina explained that despite personal matters, she would not need permission from Taylor Swift to collaborate with Kardashian for a clothing brand advertisement.
During the interview, Sabrina praised Taylor for handling every situation with grace. She also considers Taylor to be her best friend. Sabrina told the media outlet, “The posts suggesting I need to ‘ask for her permission’ – no. She’s one of my closest friends, and we hang out, text, and catch up like any best friends would.”
She continued, “Taylor is just so strong and handles everything gracefully, no matter what challenges she faces.”
Sabrina performed with Taylor Swift during her Eras tour concert in Sydney. While she was initially supposed to be the opening act, she ended up singing alongside Taylor in songs like White Horse and Coney Island. Sabrina also appeared in an ad for Skims, where she endorsed a collection of underwear and shapewear. The 25-year-old informed Taylor Swift about her collaboration with Kardashian.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian have been feuding since Kim’s marriage to Kanye West. Sabrina Carpenter did not share the same sentiments as the former couple.
Speaking about her bond with Taylor, Sabrina revealed to Rolling Stones, “Despite what people might believe about being attentive to every little detail, I’m focused on my work. In this situation, I’ve been transparent with her, and I wholeheartedly support her.”
She added, “There was no awkwardness for me, but I understand that people will always have something to say.” Sabrina Carpenter’s latest hit, Please, Please, Please, topped the charts. Her upcoming album, Short n’ Sweet, is set to release on August 23.
