Chappell Roan, Halsey, and More Join Sabrina Carpenter for Performance
The 2024 VMAs have revealed another round of performers for the music awards show.
Lenny Kravitz, Halsey, Blackpink‘s Lisa and Benson Boone are all set to take the stage at Long Island’s UBS Arena next month.
Kravitz’s performance will be his first on the VMAs in more than 25 years, after joining Madonna for her “Ray of Light” performance in 1998. Kravitz is also up for the award for best rock this year for his single, “Human.”
Halsey, nominated for 14 VMAs over the course of her career, will perform a new song off of her upcoming album, after last winning a Moon Person in 2019 alongside BTS.
Blackpink’s Lisa, a four-time nominee this year, will make her solo debut on the VMAs’ main stage this year after making VMA history in 2022 as the first solo female K-pop star and Korean soloist to win a Moon Person.
First-time VMAs nominee Boone, up for awards in three categories, will make his live VMAs performance debut.
These artists join previously announced performers Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro and Katy Perry, who will also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.
Taylor Swift leads the nominations for the 2024 VMAs with 10 nods, followed by Post Malone with nine and Ariana Grande, Eminem and Carpenter with six each.
MTV recently announced it was moving the 2024 VMAs from Tuesday, Sept. 10, the night of ABC’s presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, to Wednesday, Sept. 11. The show will air live from the UBS Arena at 8 p.m. ET.
