Regarding Jelly Roll, who previously appeared as a guest mentor on season 22 of the ABC singing competition, he had nothing but praise for Katy Perry after her comments.
“I adore you, Katy Perry,” Jelly Roll recently expressed to E! News. “Find yourself a friend who speaks about you the way Katy Perry talks about me in the media. Thank you, Katy Perry. I love you endlessly.”
“She’s consistent in her personality, whether in private or in public,” he elaborated. “Every time I’ve encountered her, she’s been like, ‘You belong on American Idol.’ And the first time someone asked her, it was you guys and she immediately said, ‘Jelly Roll.'”
He’s even ready to head to Hollywood at a moment’s notice. He quipped, “I’d even clean the American Idol toilets if asked—I’m all in.”
