Ryan Reynolds Took a Special Companion to a Taping of The View
Ryan Reynolds was thrilled to have The View as his guest.
The star of Deadpool brought his mom, Tammy Reynolds, a huge fan of the talk show, to join him during the taping.
“You never know what surprises await you on The View,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg remarked on the June 10 episode, scanning the audience. “Sometimes you look up and think, this is fantastic! And then you look up and think, oh, wow, there’s Ryan Reynolds!”
Ryan later clarified that his presence was not planned.
“My mom is in town visiting her grandkids,” he explained to a surprised Whoopi. “And yesterday she mentioned, ‘It’s my dream to attend The View.'”
So the 47-year-old father of daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a 15-month-old whose name is kept private by wife Blake Lively, pulled a few strings to make it happen.
