Ryan Gosling Shares the Role His Daughters Played in “I’m Just Ken”
Ryan Gosling revealed how his daughters played a role behind-the-scenes while filming Barbie.
Ryan Gosling‘s daughters are no strangers to the entertainment industry. After all, 9-year-old Esmeralda and 7-year-old Amada—whom Ryan shares with Eva Mendes—frequently visited the set of the Barbie film.
“It was their fascination with Barbie and lack of interest in Ken that sparked everything,” Ryan shared during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 11. “It has truly been a collaborative effort. They were on set for my performance.”
When Ryan mentions his “performance,” he was referring to the film’s Oscar-nominated, show-stopping number “I’m Just Ken.”
“They know all the choreography and songs better than I do,” joked the 43-year-old, mimicking his daughters doing the dance like on Dance Moms. “They are backstage coaching me.”
Although it wasn’t until his appearance at the 2024 Oscars that the girls truly comprehended what it was all about, according to the Notebook star.
