Kate Middleton Photo Controversy: Insights from Royal Expert Omid Scobie
Despite the incident, the royals and their team are making efforts to clarify the situation.
The original Mother’s Day photo shared on Kate and William’s official social media accounts featured Kate with their children, marking the first official picture of the Princess since her abdominal surgery in January.
However, the photo was later removed from databases and “kill notices” were issued, advising editors and clients not to use the picture.
“The Associated Press initially released the photo from Kensington Palace,” stated the news wire in a NBC News statement. “The AP retracted the image after discovering that it had been manipulated in a way that did not meet their standards, citing an inconsistency in Princess Charlotte’s hand alignment.”
E! News contacted Kensington Palace for comment but has not received a response.
