Actor Martin Mull, known for his role in Roseanne, passes away at 80
Hollywood is bidding adieu to a cherished actor.
Martin Mull—famous for his roles as Leon Carp on Roseanne and Colonel Mustard in Clue—passed away on June 27, as revealed by his daughter Maggie Mull on Instagram. He was 80.
“I am devastated to announce that my father left us at home on June 27th, after bravely battling a prolonged illness,” she posted on June 28. “He was renowned for excelling in every form of artistry and for starring in Red Roof Inn commercials. He would have found that joke amusing. He was always full of humor.”
While acknowledging his comedic side, Maggie, Martin’s daughter with his third wife Wendy Haas, also recounted the profound influence he had on those close to him.
“My father will be dearly missed by his wife and daughter, by his circle of friends and colleagues, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians,” she continued, “and—indicative of an exceptional individual—by numerous dogs. I adored him immensely.”
