Rory Feek Refutes Claims of “Cult” Affiliation and Endangering Daughter Indy
When Rory and Rebecca went on their honeymoon, they entrusted Indiana to the care of the family that Heidi had expressed concerns about. Despite this, Rory defended the couple in his blog post, describing them as the “kindest, most beautiful people I’ve ever met in my life.”
Rory mentioned that Indiana, who had been a flower girl at her sister Hopie’s 2018 wedding, now “absolutely” misses her sisters after he prohibited her from visiting them.
“I used to allow Indiana to spend a night or two with her older sisters in Alabama every couple of months, but I stopped doing so about a year ago,” Rory explained. “This decision was made because they did not respect my rules while she was in their care.”
Despite his differences with his older children, Rory, a self-proclaimed conservative Christian, highlighted that Heidi and Hopie did not adhere to the boundaries he had set for Indiana. This ultimately led to tensions within the family.
“When Child Protective Services contacted me out of the blue, citing reports of neglect towards Indiana and other accusations, Heidi and Hopie lost their privileges to communicate with their younger sister,” Rory recounted. “Their actions had escalated to secretly recording their conversations with her to gather information to use against me. It became evident that Heidi’s motives were not about Indiana’s well-being, but rather seeking revenge and causing harm to me at any cost. I made the decision to shield Indiana from this toxic situation.”
