Rob Gronkowski Calls Super Bowl Ticket Prices “Outrageous”
Many people were unable to attend Super Bowl 2024 due to the high ticket prices. According to CBS News, ticket prices ranged from $2,000 for face-value tickets to $37,000 for last-minute tickets on resale site StubHub. This made it difficult for even some NFL players to afford attending the event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Feb. 11. Retired football icon Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski expressed his thoughts on the high prices at FanDuel’s Super Bowl party presented by Spotify on Feb. 9.
Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion, commented, “It’s pretty ridiculous. If you’re playing in the game, you’re probably losing money, which is crazy. I think that should change. I think the NFL players need to get compensated better in the playoffs, especially going to the Super Bowl.”
Gronkowski also shared his personal experience, stating, “I played in the game before where I brought family and friends to the game, and I actually lost about $20,000 playing the Super Bowl.”
