Rihanna Explains How Mothering a Boy Helps Her Embrace Femininity
As a mother of boys, Rihanna feels as beautiful as diamonds in the sky.
After welcoming her sons RZA, 23 months, and Riot, 8 months, with her partner A$AP Rocky, the “Diamonds” singer has fully embraced her role as the only woman in the household.
“Being a boy mom makes me feel really cool,” she told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at Fenty Beauty’s Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation launch on April 26. “I can be as laid-back as I want, but it also encourages me to celebrate the amazing aspects of being a woman, and my femininity. I appreciate it much more now, like I even wear pink.”
She continued, “I switch between wearing jerseys and saying, ‘Today I’m wearing a dress! I’m the only one in this house who can do that right now.'”
Even though she may feel like the only girl in her home, this experience has further strengthened the connection of the 36-year-old singer with her womanhood.
